In order to put power to the ground, Traxxas had to redesign the the aluminum center drive shaft which now engages the front and rear gearboxes directly. That means there are no more dogbones or drive cup pieces that quickly wear away. New, telescoping steel-spline (SS) drive shafts with dual CV joints engage the wheels with track-tested, spline 17mm hex hubs that handle 50% more torque than conventional shafts.
The long range 2.4 ghz remote control has a control distance of over 2000 feet and features code hopping technology. No more worrying about what interference or running on the same frequency as other people on the block, park, or track.
