The magician displays a deck of cards and an empty drinking glass. The magician asks the spectator, "Have you ever seen invisible quarters?" He then proceeds to pull out two invisible quarters from his pocket. He tells the spectator that he can only see the quarters as they penetrate through the top of the glass. The magician then hits the top of the glass and the quarters VISIBLY appear on top of the deck of cards. A VERY easy effect to perform. At this point you could go into any coin routine you may know as the quarters are not gimmicked!
